This Privacy Policy explains how Viewy Pty Ltd (“Viewy”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

By accessing or using the Viewy platform (“Platform”) you acknowledge this Privacy Policy.

1. Platform Role

Viewy is an informational property data display platform.

Viewy:

  • Displays information from third-party and public sources

  • Does not contact individuals on behalf of users

  • Does not facilitate communication

  • Does not verify ownership or identity

  • Does not act as an agent, broker or marketing service

Users independently decide how to use information displayed.

 

2. Categories of Personal Information

We may collect, hold or display information including:

  • Property-linked data

  • Names associated with property ownership

  • Contact details linked to property records

  • Transaction history

  • Address association

  • Derived and analytical data

  • Ownership linkage

  • Inferred associations

  • Does not participate in communication

Users are responsible for complying with applicable laws including the Privacy Act, Spam Act and Do Not Call Register Act.

 

7. Data Accuracy and Limitations

  • Personal information may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated or misattributed.

  • Viewy does not guarantee correctness and does not verify ownership.

  • The Platform may intentionally display limited information and the absence of a field does not indicate an error in underlying records.

8, Access and Correction Requests

Individuals may request access or correction by contacting: contact@viewy.com.au

Before acting, Viewy may require identity verification.

Viewy may refuse requests where permitted under the Privacy Act including where:

  • Identity cannot be verified

  • The request is excessive or unreasonable

  • The information relates to another person

  • Legal retention applies

  • Investigations may be affected

  • Where information is reasonably believed accurate, Viewy may retain the information and record a dispute instead of removing it.

 

9. Non-Notification of Searches

Viewy does not notify individuals when their information is viewed or accessed on the Platform.

 

10. Overseas Storage

Information may be stored using cloud infrastructure located outside Australia.

Viewy takes reasonable steps to ensure providers maintain safeguards comparable to Australian privacy standards.

 

11. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational safeguards.

No system is completely secure and transmission occurs at user risk.

 

12. Misuse and Investigations

Viewy may monitor usage and investigate suspected misuse.

Information may be used or disclosed to:

  • Prevent unlawful activity

  • Enforce terms

  • Protect individuals

  • Comply with legal processes

13. Retention

Information is retained as long as reasonably necessary for operational, legal and security purposes.

Records may be updated when new datasets are received.
